Testimonials
Dear Dr. Lowry,
Mere words cannot begin to express how grateful we are for the outcome of Karen’s recent Craniotomy. We praise God for this miracle! But we also applaud you & Dr. Kremer for your tremendous skills in being able to physically bring about this wonderful result.
We so admire the dedication and stamina required for you and Dr. Kremer to be able to perform nine hours of surgery in such a highly sensitive area. Both of your credentials are indeed impressive and this outcome is yet another testimony to your skills. Your fellow health care professionals all hold you both in very high regard. Please add our names to that list as we value you both as neurosurgeons and as people. We also appreciate the excellent follow-up in your office and the genuine concern for Karen’s well being. We also applaud you for your service to the Hope College Board of Trustees.
Both of you and the patients you care for in the future, will be in our thoughts & prayers on a daily basis. Thank you again for this “miracle”!!
Sincerely,
Tom P.
I had two levels of discs removed in my neck due to spinal stenosis. It's not a small deal. But I was able to walk from the hospital without a neck brace, took only 4 days off work, worked half days for a week then back to full time. I feel great. The surgery was very successful.
I couldn't have asked for better care all the way around. I took minimal pain medication afterwards. Jeff, the PA, was excellent with all follow up and communications. I can't say enough about the care. Dr. Kremer has the latest technology, the latest techniques, and very caring hands. Everything was well coordinated. I tell anyone who needs surgery, go see Dr. Kremer!
I would rate them A+++

Thank you guys so very much for the awesome job you did on my back. I feel so much better. I appreciate how good you guys were on the visits to my hospital room. Your bedside manners were very pleasant and caring. Thank you!
God bless,
Heather S.
Dr. Freimark was very thorough and very helpful. She took her time to explain what was going on with my back, explained my options, and made recommendations, which I followed. Through physical therapy and the pain clinic, I am now feeling well. I am very satisfied with her services.

Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you and your staff for the wonderful and caring way that I was treated by your office. I feel so blessed that the outcome was so successful. Words cannot express my gratitude.

I am a very, very satisfied patient of Dr. Kremer. I had a pinched nerve that gave me shooting pains down my back, hip and legs. I couldn't walk for any length of time. I tried physical therapy, I even tried chiropractic sessions, but nothing helped. Finally my primary care physician referred me Dr. Kremer.
I underwent fusion surgery and had immediate relief. You know there's a lot of soul searching when you think of having back surgery, but this was wonderful. He has a very nice bedside manner, very informative. I was released from the hospital the following day, and I am now back to a very active lifestyle. I can even do my sports. I highly recommend Dr. Kremer.

Dear Dr. Lowry & Jeff,
I hope two very busy specialists have time to read a “thank you” from a very appreciative patient. It is just wonderful to feel some relief. You have both been so diligent to develop the gifts that the Lord has given you and you have helped so many.
Thanks,
Betty G.
I couldn't walk very far without a great deal of pain in my lower back and feet. It was painful to get out of bed and the first few hours of the day. I couldn't stand for any period of time. My primary care doctor sent me to various therapists, which were all good, but didn't get to the root of my problem.
I finally went to see Dr. Kremer, and he diagnosed spinal stenosis. He showed me the MRI on his computer and explained exactly what was going on. I didn’t even have to tell him my symptoms; he told me. Dr. Kremer evidenced a sense of confidence in the procedure and the outcome, and it really instilled confidence in me. He's experienced and very knowledgeable.
The surgery went off without a hitch, and within 8 hours I was standing without any pain. Amazing, the problem was gone, a total success. The whole procedure, follow up, everything was well orchestrated according to plan. I am very grateful to Dr. Kremer and his team.

Thank you so much Dr. Lowry. The care and concern and patience you have toward your patients is amazing! Thank you for taking the pain away and giving me back my life.
Sincerely, Jay S.
Dear Dr. Lowry,
Feb. 15 marked one year since the day you performed surgery on my back. I want to tell you what an outstanding success it has been. I have no pain whatsoever. Absolutely nothing. It’s wonderful. I can walk & stand much as I want to. My calf and hamstring and buttocks muscles cry for relief after 30 minutes on the treadmill but my back is mercifully silent. You gave me my life back. Thank you so very much for the wonderful way you helped me stand and walk again.

This little note is to offer you a tremendous amount of thanks and gratitude for all the help you gave to my son, Steve. When we found out that he had to have the surgery we began praying for God’s choice for our physician. You put us at ease from the start. What a precious gift our Lord has bestowed upon you, and He has not only given you skill but the love & compassion to go along with it. Steve & I are so very, very grateful.
May Gods richest blessings be upon you always,
Connie & Steve W.
It wasn't until I came to Dr. Freimark that I started seeing results in my health improving. She's great. I had a herniated disc and had been to several doctors and months of guessing. Dr. Freimark was very objective; she orchestrated a process and solution of different treatments and physical therapists that put me on a path to recovery.

I want to express my gratitude and appreciation of your service and special skills! You can certainly be proud of your expertise!
Thank you,

Dr. Kremer,
Thank you for your part in doing the great work taking care of Rick (my son). Thank you for the words spoke to us by assuring us that it was up to God now and you did what you could. We will remember you with such thankfulness!! We thank God for you!
Sincerely,
Betty B.
I want to follow up from our recent hospital meeting to thank you for your care for me and to update you on our progress with treatment for my brain tumor.
Pat & I remain very grateful for you honest, direct, compassionate care when you told us about my tumor. Of course it was not the news we wanted, but your directness and professionalism were what we needed at that moment, as well as you ability to impart hope, and we are grateful.
As you know, we pursued another option at the University of Michigan, where Dr. William Chandler confirmed your probable diagnosis of grade IV glioblastoma and recommended surgery to be followed by radio and then chemotherapies.
We finally decided to seek treatment at the Cleveland Clinic, where Dr. Michael Vogelbaum of the Brain Tumor Institute will perform the surgery on Wednesday this week. Dr. Vogelbaum’s entire practice is devoted to brain tumors. He works in an OR that includes an intra-operative MRI, so that he can get another set of images near the end of the surgery to be sure that he can make an exact resection of the enhancing mass of the tumor. He is confident that the entire tumor can be removed and anticipates a 4-6 operation. And then we will begin as soon as possible on a simultaneous course of radiation and chemotherapy to try to destroy remaining cells.
So your assessment of my situation has been supported twice by doctors in other institutions, and Pat and I feel confident and grateful that you helped us to figure out what we are facing.
Now the challenge is to travel this unexpected journey as well and as far as we can. We have a great community of friends and supporters at Hope and in Holland to help us along the way. I’m personally grateful for your presence in this group.
Gratefully, and with best wishes,
David K.
Just a note to express our heartfelt thanks for all that you did for Helen and for all of us. You have rendered a truly beautiful service in your surgical skill, your careful explanation of all that is involved, and your pastoral care toward our family Thank you so much!
Helen has no pain in her left leg. We are very thankful and encouraged. Blessings to you and all your dear ones.
Many thanks and much love,
Bill and Helen
Dear David,
Thank you for getting me back in shape for competition this year. Recovery went very well (just too slow) and the first race of the season 2 weeks ago in Clermont went very well.
Thank you!
David T.
Dr. Lowry,
This “thanks” long overdue but I still wanted to express my gratitude to you even if months have gone by … I am grateful for all the time you spent with me discussing my meningioma. I left your office feeling very knowledgeable about the situation. The honest information you shared helped me greatly! I wanted to let you know I took you advice and had it removed. I chose to have it done at Spectrum since my daughter had so much going on at DeVos Childrens’s herself, we felt it was easier to keep us in the same building. But again, I am very thankful for all of your help, kindness, and time!
Sincerely,
Trista E.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you! The news on Thursday on its own was outstanding! However, I also want to thank you for the comfort you provided on a spiritual level as well as professional. May God continue to bless you with the gifts and talents He has given you! Again, thank you so very much!
Bless you!
In His name, love and care,
Jackie R.
Dr. Lowry,
I just want to say thank you for what you did for me last week. I know you could have gone about your day, instead you decided to help me. And I know you help people everyday, but for that one decision you have my eternal gratitude and admiration. On behalf of my entire family and myself, thank you!
Jeff Hoekstra
Dear Dr. Kremer,
Even though it was gut wrenching for you, on April 5 at Holland Hospital you gave my husband and I a wonderful gift – five wonderful functioning weeks of living. Time to get our affairs in order and time to communicate our innermost thoughts and feelings to each other. We can never thank you enough for being honest with us and telling us we deserved to know how serious his glioblastoma is.
Please know that your mother and father’s suffering was not in vain. Richard’s sleeping peacefully and comfortably now and is in no pain. I am with him to attend to his needs and am so grateful for you advice to not pursue aggressive treatment.
You are a truly magnificent person and doctor.
With all sincerity,
Lori F.
